SEO and AI Visibility Audit
Is your website being found? By Google, and now by AI.
A fixed-fee audit of how your site performs in search and whether ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity can find it, read it and get your facts right. You get a plain-English report and the fixes ready to paste in.

Run by Scott Griffiths, who has built and optimised WordPress sites for Essex businesses since 2007 through eseyo.
Being found online now has two halves. Most websites only get checked for one.
This audit checks both halves, tells you plainly what is wrong, and hands you the fixes.
For twenty years, being found meant ranking on Google. That still matters. But a growing share of your customers now ask an AI assistant instead: “who does commercial boiler servicing near Brentwood?” or “best accountant for a small limited company in Essex”. If the assistant can’t reach your site, can’t read it, or gets your facts wrong, you simply aren’t in the answer.
Most sites fail that second half without anyone knowing. A security plugin blocks the AI crawlers by accident. The page content only appears once JavaScript runs, so the crawler sees nothing. Your opening hours are different on three pages. None of this shows up in a normal SEO report.
The search half
Five checks, every page that matters
The same ground a good SEO agency covers, done with real ranking data rather than guesswork.
Keywords
The terms customers actually type, their monthly demand, how hard each is to win, and where you rank today
The 15–25 phrases worth going after, sorted by opportunity
On-page
Titles, descriptions, headings, keyword placement, internal links, image alt text and URLs, page by page
Every issue rated Critical, High, Medium or Low, with the fix
Content gaps
Topics competitors rank for that you don’t, pages gone stale, pages too thin to rank, missing formats
What to write next and roughly how long it takes
Technical
Speed, mobile, structured data, robots and sitemap, canonicals, broken links, HTTPS, Core Web Vitals, indexing
A pass/fail checklist you can hand to whoever looks after the site
Competitors
Two or three rivals compared on keywords, content depth, authority signals and which search features they own
Where they beat you and where you can beat them
- Keyword and ranking data from Ahrefs.
The AI half
Can an assistant find you, read you and quote you correctly?
This is the part most SEO reports skip, and it is where most sites fail.
Crawler access
Does your robots.txt let ClaudeBot, GPTBot, PerplexityBot and the others in? Many sites block them by accident. It is the single biggest fix and usually one line.
Readability
If your content only appears after JavaScript runs, most AI crawlers see a blank page. I check what the raw HTML actually contains.
llms.txt
A short plain-language file at your site root telling assistants what you do, what you offer, where you work and how to reach you. Most sites don’t have one. Yours will.
Structured data
Schema markup (LocalBusiness, Service, Product, FAQ) so your facts are machine-readable rather than guessed from prose.
Fact clarity
Opening hours, service area, pricing and credentials stated once, plainly and consistently. Vague or contradictory facts get quoted wrong.
Off-site presence
Google Business Profile, trade directories and review sites. Assistants lean on these heavily; a business missing from them is invisible however good the website is.
Then the real test.
I ask an assistant the questions your customers would ask, in several phrasings, and record exactly what came back: whether you appeared, who did, and which sources were cited. No made-up “visibility score”. Just what happened, so we can run it again in a month and see the direction.
What you get
One report, written for the person who has to act on it
Not forty findings in a flat list. The five that matter at the top, everything else in an appendix.
- A three-paragraph summary. Your biggest strength, the three priorities with the most impact, and a straight verdict: strong foundation, needs work, or critical issues.
- Keyword opportunities. 15–25 phrases with difficulty, current ranking, searcher intent and the type of page that would win each one.
- On-page issues. Page by page, rated Critical to Low, each with its fix.
- Content gaps. What to write, why it matters, the format, the priority and an honest effort estimate: quick win, half a day, or a proper project.
- Technical checklist. Pass, fail or warning on every item, with the detail.
- Competitor comparison. You against two or three rivals, dimension by dimension, with a winner marked on each row.
- AI visibility findings. The six checks above plus the record of what the assistant actually said.
- A prioritised action plan. Split into quick wins for this week (under two hours each) and strategic work for this quarter, each with expected impact, effort and dependencies.
Priority table – sample report
| # | Finding | Rating |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | [FINDING] | Critical |
| 2 | [FINDING] | High |
| 3 | [FINDING] | High |
| 4 | [FINDING] | Medium |
| 5 | [FINDING] | Low |
Fixes you can apply this week
Files and copy, not advice
Most audits tell you what is wrong and leave you to work out the rest. This one hands you the fix, written and ready to paste:
Each one comes with a copy button. If you have someone who looks after your website, they can apply the quick wins in an afternoon. If you don’t, I can do it for you.
- A corrected robots.txt
- An llms.txt written for your business
- Schema markup blocks, one per page type, ready to drop in
- Rewritten titles and meta descriptions for every key page
- Rewritten or new page copy where the audit found a gap, in your tone, not mine
If eseyo built your site, the quick wins are included.
You get the report, the fixes and the first round of changes applied, as part of the audit.
What I won’t promise
Three things you will not hear from me
I won’t promise a ranking.
Nobody can. I will show you the gap between you and the sites above you and exactly what closes it.
I won’t promise to get you recommended by AI agents.
Nobody can make an assistant recommend a business, and anyone selling that is selling nothing. What I can do is make sure the assistant can find your site, read it and get your facts right. Everything in the audit is a published, open standard: robots.txt, schema.org, llms.txt, clean HTML, accurate listings. No tricks, no hidden text, nothing that gets a site penalised.
I won’t promise a timeline.
Search and AI visibility move slowly. Thirty days is the earliest a change shows up, which is why every audit comes with a recheck date, not a refresh button.
How it works
Three steps, no homework
Tell me your website and your rivals.
A 20-minute call. Your URL, the two or three businesses you lose work to, and the phrases you’d most like to be found for. If you don’t know your competitors, I’ll find them.
I run the audit.
Both halves, every page that matters, using live ranking data. You get the report and the ready-to-paste fixes within 5 working days.
We walk through it together.
A one-hour call where I take you through the five findings that matter, you ask whatever you like, and you leave knowing exactly what to do first. Thirty days later I run the assistant test again and send you the before-and-after.
£395 + VAT, fixed
No retainer required. If eseyo built your site, the quick wins are included.
If you want me to apply the fixes rather than hand them over, that’s quoted separately at £70 + VAT an hour.
Who it’s for
Built for businesses that have a website and aren’t sure what it’s doing
This is for you if:
- You’re a small or medium business in Essex or the surrounding area, with a site that brings in fewer enquiries than it should
- You’ve paid for SEO before and never understood what you got
- You’ve asked your AI about your own industry and you weren’t in the answer
- You run a trade, a practice or a professional service where “who’s near me” is how customers choose
- You’re a creative agency that wants to offer this to your own clients, under your name – see Creative Agency Support for the agency rate
This isn’t for you if:
- You want someone to guarantee page one. See above.
- Your site is being rebuilt from scratch next month. Audit the new one instead; ask me about building AI visibility in from the start.
- You’re a national e-commerce brand with a dedicated SEO team. You already have this covered, or should.
FAQ
Questions people ask before booking
Do I need to give you access to my website?
No. The audit runs on your public site, the same way Google and the AI crawlers see it. If you later want me to apply the fixes, I’ll need a login for that part only.
What do you need from me?
Your web address, the names of two or three competitors if you know them, and the phrases you’d most like to be found for. Twenty minutes on a call covers it.
Will this get my business into AI search answers?
Nobody can promise that, and I won’t. What the audit does is identify the reasons an assistant can’t find, read or quote you correctly, then measure what it actually says before and 30 days after.
My site is on WordPress / Squarespace / Wix. Does that matter?
No. The fixes are plain files and copy that work on any platform. I build in WordPress and Elementor myself, so if that’s your setup I can apply them directly.
I already pay an agency for SEO. Is this a waste?
Ask them when they last checked your robots.txt for AI crawlers or whether you have an llms.txt. If they have, good; the audit will confirm it. If they haven’t, you’ve just found out what you’re not getting.
How long does it take and what does it cost?
5 working days from our first call to the report in your inbox, then a one-hour walkthrough. £395 + VAT, fixed.
What happens after the audit?
That’s up to you. Apply the quick wins yourself, have me do it, or carry on to a monthly retainer where I keep the site current and run the assistant test every month. There’s no pressure either way; the report is yours.
Find out whether your website is being found. Both halves.
Twenty minutes on a call is all it takes to start. If the audit isn’t right for you, I’ll say so on that call and point you somewhere better.
Or email scott@dotscott.ai with your web address and I’ll reply with what I’d look at first.
